در سالگرد ۱۸ تیر، دانشحویان، استادان و دیگر اقشار ایرانی ساکن وینیپگ همراه با دوستان غیر ایرانی خود، در یک اقدام سمبولیک با ایجاد یک زنجیر انسانی به دور یکی از ساختمان های خوابگاه های دانشگاه منیتوبا و نمایش تصاویر حمله نیروهای لباس شخصی و نیروی انتظامی به خوابگاه کوی دانشگاه تهران در سال ۱۳۷۸ و همینطور تکرار این واقعه در خرداد امسال تلاش خواهند کرد ضمن اطلاع رسانی با جنبش آزادی خواهی مردم ایران اعلام همبستگی کنند. اگر ساکن وینیپگ هستید با حضور خود و تشویق دوستان ایرانی و غیر ایرانی تان در شرکت در این برنامه به هرچه باشکوه تر برگزارشدن این برنامه کمک کنید.

Call to form a Human Chain

July 9th is the anniversary of the brutal attack of the plain-clothed arm men to the dorm of Tehran University in year 2000 after a peaceful demonstration of the students to protest the closure of a popular newspaper, in which one student was killed and many students were beaten, injured and arrested. This year, at 3 AM on June 14, after the election demonstrations there was another brutal attack to the Tehran University’s dorm, in which 6 students were killed, 100s were injured and arrested. In memory of those students, on Thursday July 9th at noon, we will form a human chain in front of our university’s dorm, Arthur Mauro building. Please join us to show your support for the civil rights movement of Iranian students.
